Planning to do a safari in Akagera below is what you need to know about Akagera Fees and Prices. Akagera national park entrance fees into Akagera are charged per day per individual and these include:

Akagera Park entry fees.

Adults 13 and Above Years

For foreign international visitors:  USD $40 per person

For Rwanda / EA residents: USD $30 per person

For Rwanda/ EA nationals: USD $7 per person

Children 6 to 12 Years

For foreign international visitors:  USD $20 per person

For Rwanda / EA residents: USD $15 per person

For Rwanda/ EA nationals: USD $3.5 per person

Vehicle Entrance fees

Rwanda/ EA registered  Minibus /Motor Vehicles are charged: USD $10 per motor vehicle.

Rwanda/ EA registered  Ominibus / Bus are charged: USD $20 per motor vehicle.

Foreign registered  Minibus /Motor Vehicles are charged: USD $40 per motor vehicle.

Foreign registered  Ominibus /Bus Vehicles are charged: USD $100 per motor vehicle.

Costs and prices of other activities in Akagera national park 

Night Game Drive: US$40 per adult and USD 25 per child for 2.5 hrs

Fishing Trips:  US$25 per individual per day, with own equipment and USD 15 per child

Boat Trip: US$35 per individual for one hour either in the morning or afternoon. USD 20 per child

Boat Trip: US$45 per individual for one hour at sunset and USD 30 per child

A private boat trip that is none schedule USD 180

A behind-the-scenes-tour: US$25 per adult  for one and a half hours and Minimum number is 4 people. USD 15 per child. 8+ people pay USD 180 all together.

Community cultural experiences USD 30 per adult and USD 20 per child.

Walk the Line ( a 7 Km walk along the fence ) USD 30 per adult and USD 20 per child

Game drive USD 180 for Half day Operated by AMC and USD 280 for full day.

Akagera fees ; park guide rates

Guides both freelance and park guides for self-drive game drives charge USD 25 for half day safari game drives and USD 40 for full day game drives. It is always advise to get a guide while on game because they always have an idea where animals are.

There is also an information Center from which you can obtain help and guidance about the various park activities, and also be advised on the best route to use as you explore the park. However we advice all Visitors on a Rwanda Safari in Akagera national park to spend the entire day in the park for the best rewards and wildlife experience on this safari.
